Description: In the wars again: Rose McGowan was spotted with a boot cast as she shopped with a friend in Los Angeles, on MondayActress Rose McGowan appears not to have lady luck on her side when it comes to her feet. McGowan suffered her third foot injury in less than 4 years; recently injuring one of her lower extremities. McGowan refuses to give her stiletto heels for a more comfortable shoe.

The 38-year-old was spotted wearing a black protective boot cast as she went shopping in Los Angeles. She was seen walking lightly on her injured foot on her way to the stores according to Dailymail. She had suffered a broken foot on the way to the gym in 2008, running down the stairs to meet with her personal fitness trainer. “The doctor thought I was crying because I was in pain, but I told him it was because I have to go to Cannes and refuse to wear flats, said McGowan.  She then broke her toe in 2011 suffering a hairline fracture, due to wearing high heeled shoes for 14 hours a day on a film shoot.

It is important that the proper shoes are worn for protection gainst pain and discomfort. A podiatrist like Dr. Nicholas Crismali of Crismali Foot & Ankle can make recommendations and help you with any foot pain you might have experienced from wearing ill-fitting footwear.

The Importance of Proper Foot Support

Walking is an everyday function for both men and women, and in order to keep your body’s balance in order, you are going to need shoes that provide the proper kinds of support.

Poor foot support can cause pain and discomfort in the lower back, hips, knees, neck and shoulder. It also can lead to emotional stress, and physiological changes in the body. In order to avoid these problems, you must have proper foot support.

Shoes to Consider:

- Good heel and arch support
- Have proper length and width for your feet
- Avoid tight/cramped shoes
- Have many eyelets –will give feet better support when the laces are tied
